India and Sri Lanka are the only two countries in the region not to be
sullied by the political system falling prey to the military. There is no
likelihood of India going the Pakistan/Bangladesh way because her strong
and independent judiciary and vibrant political system have evolved into
a form of adulthood. We here in Sri Lanka managed to destroy our hitherto excellent Administrative and Judicial system by politicizing both notably in the last few years. The Army remained outside of all this and fairly neutral. In the fair name of our country one hopes this will continue to be so although the indications to the contrary are frightening.

If MR brothers don't win the election,the defense sectary my take over the country (Army rule) (no smoke without fire) with the blessing with the current president. I have a strong feeling every thing is well set for the final game. If they loose the election where can they go?? They have to be in Sri Lanka and this is the only way.

I would recommend that the opposition and other political leaders consult USA and get ready to handle this kind of situation. Don't trust India.
