KP’s local agent found

Urumaran, the local agent of the LTTE’s international affairs head and its main arms dealer Kumaran Pathmanadan alias KP was arrested yesterday at a welfare camp in Vavuniya.

He had come into the welfare camp with other civilians and was living there when Army intelligence was tipped off by a person who knew him.

According to Army sources Urumaran was well educated and KP’s direct contact in the supply of weapons to the LTTE. He had admitted that he was the local handler of arms and ammunition that came to the LTTE from abroad mainly on sea going vessels.

He had been in constant touch with KP even after arriving at the welfare centre, Army sources said adding whereabouts of KP could be traced by questioning and monitoring telephone calls Urumaran received on his satellite phone.

The country has an advanced form of law not second to any other country in the world.The govt has a duty by the law abiding people minding their own business.Under these circumstances a criminal when caught cannot take refuge in the phrase "it's witch hunt".Witch hunt is when the party gone into hiding is innocent.We must not confuse that with a day to day police activity.Further the criminals have not owned up to their crimes as yet instead are still using law abiding IDPs,technically, as a shield.If anyone is pretending the war is over it is an instance of hood winking the gullible.For those who are not hesitant to use the IDP human shield
it is still bidding time for another day to create havoc.It has been that way nearly thirty years ago.Now the situation is far more serious because of colonials intervention and the piles of dollars available from many an illegal activities.Two millenniums ago the Lord Jesus has said it right.Give what is Ceasars unto him and what is Lords unto the Lord. Ceasar will handle it well even now as he did quite efficiently in the past. Why we small fry waste our breath now? Talk in another 12 months may be eh?

WAR IS LIKE POLITCS.When a war is over there is a general reconstruction program because of the damage caused.When an election is over the winning party,through a government started a new mandate for the welfare of its voters and even those who voted against the party.Now that the war is over i dont think that there must be the need to make a witch hunt.This is the sad part of democracy.Life has an aspect of a boomrang where every action be it good or bad returns towards the person irrespective of his belief and his status.
