What our Leaders must do is exactly how you have explained in comment. We hope wisdom will prevail upon our leaders to act wisely as we have not acted wisely during past three decades.

Indian election is around the corner. one should never trust the cunning Indian ploys.

Sri Lankans surely will have many doubts as and when various heads from other influential countries pay a visit at a short notice. Especially if the guest is from India, the doubts will be greater. Be wise! The Sri Lankan President Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa made a great history in the world while eliminating the LTTE the worst terrorist group which many thought would be a dream. President’s action was supported by a very intelligent group plus the military personnel and all the Sri Lankans who love their motherland. However one has to remember the action path didn’t come free. Many sacrificed their lives that cannot be valued by money. On top of that the wealth of the country is completely eroded. At a time like this, the influential countries will definitely strike back to enforce various conditions to hold onto Sri Lankan Economy.
In short the President should draw lines immediately to avoid minorities living away from other races. In other words, re-settlements should be arranged as such, many Sinhalese businessman and other traders will be able to live in North and East among Muslims and Tamils. By ratio more Sinhalese people must be settled in the North and East. Avoid dumping poor Sinhalese like farmers and fisherman alone. Instead a mixture of all categories must be re-settled. Once this is in place the requirement of power devolutions can be totally eliminated. That will lead to create natural true peace in Sri Lanka.
