altThe interviews for ‘Janasabha’ secretaries to be held next week have been put off for the second time. The letters prepared to call applicants for the interviews too have been withdrawn say government sources.
According to these sources the decision to postpone interviews was taken at a discussion held at the Ministry of Finance. It has been decided to adopt, in Parliament, a new act in relation to the appointment of ‘Janasabha’ secretaries and not to hold any interviews before this act was adopted.
The government claiming graduates would be appointed as ‘Janasabha’ secretaries used them in their propaganda campaigns during the presidential and general elections. Despite promising graduates that they would be appointed to the posts through the budget, no funds for this purpose were allocated from the budget that was presented to Parliament recently.
Graduates who expected to be employed as ‘Janasabha’ secretaries state the government, to temporarily repress the opposition building against it after the budget, has merely had stated that interviews would be held to deceive the people. They claim that the government has no plans to give any appointment to graduates.
