Mervin ready to tie up government officers in Kelaniya |

If a person dies following dengue fever in Kelaniya area hereafter the responsibility of that death should be taken by government servants, Samurdi officers, the Medical Officer of Health and the Chairman of the Local Government Council says Deputy Minister of Highways Mervin Silva. He says they should be brought the deceased's house and tied up. The Deputy Minister of Highways Mervin Silva said this while addressing a press conference yesterday (28th).
The Deputy Minister further stated that mass dengue eradication campaign would be launched on 1st of August and his only purpose was to save people from dengue epidemic and human rights were not the matter of concern to him. The Secretary of the Central Committee of SLFP in Kelaniya region Sarath Chandra Dias, President of Kelaniya Pradesheeya Saba Presanna Ranaweera, Local Government Members Hasitha Madawala and Milroy Perera took part at the occasion.
