Bakery owners meet for a decision

All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association has decided to have a discussion tomorrow (29th) regarding the increase in prices of wheat flour. The price of Prime wheat flour went up by Rs.6.00 and Serendib wheat flour was raised by Rs.4.00 from midnight on the 26th.

They will discuss regarding the margin bread and other bakery products should be increased in keeping with the increased prices of flour.

The President of All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association M.K. Jayawardene has said they have no other alternative but to increase the prices of bakery products including that of bread in relation to the increase in prices of flour.
