Mahindananda freaks out

The Chairman of Selection Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket Asantha de Mel yesterday (24th) told the media that Anjelo Mathews had been selected as the captain of Sri Lanka T-20 team and a list of players was sent to the Minister of Sports for his approval.

However, the Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage says he did not approve the list and it was sent back to Sri Lanka Cricket.

The decision not to approve the list and sent it back was taken as Sri Lanka Cricket had revealed to the media the relevant information before he had given his approval the Minister had said.

I think this thug is good to be the Minister for Chakgudi, boxing and batta and definitely not for a gentlemens game like cricket. This man has made the select committee redundant and the committee should resign and hand over the selections to the Minister and all the thugs and "kudukarayas" will be in the national pool! End of Cricket in Sr Lanka.

Quoting chitra.:
Why do they have to get the approval of the Sports Minister.Isn't it upto the select commitee to select the players?Srilanka will have to abide by the ICC rules. It is impossible to understand what is going on.

Do not Wonder we are living in a regime Era that everything must be approved by the Ministers,Head of Estate etc.etc.. Liberties are vanishing so fast..
