Secretary to JSC has exceeded his area of authority – Keheliya

The Secretary to the Judicial Service Commission is not expected to make statements or hold press conferences and Mr. Manjula Tillekeratne has exceeded his jurisdiction says government media spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella. Speaking at a press conference held at Narahenpita yesterday (11th) Minister Rambukwella said a circular had been issued in 2007 preventing the Secretary from issuing media statements but Mr. Tillekertne has ignored the circular.

The Minister said the government’s attention had been drawn to several complaints regarding the conduct of the Secretary to the JSC.

Responding to a question raised by a journalist regarding the security of the Secretary, Minister Rambukwella said the necessary protection had been provided but the Secretary had not made use of it on several occasions.

Speaking to ‘Lankatruth’ a neutral analyst said in a country where government officials tie themselves to trees, Army Majors assault themselves and suffer from shock afterwards and ministers who fall from upper floors trying to creep into someone else’s room slandering the judiciary, the Secretary to the Judiciary Commission waiting in the car inviting thugs to attack him is not a strange happening. As an idiotic minister had stated he could have also assaulted himself pointed out the analyst.

In fact this person seemed to be honest for the time being as he has admitted indirectly, the JSC had been over the top.
A minister dictates the judicial system, the Judgement during the time of Mahinda that includes Sarath Fonseka’s must be investigated and to be compensated when people voted out this corrupted regime. When??..........
