Emergency meeting of govt. Parliamentary group tomorrow

It is reported that a sudden decision has been taken to hold a special meeting of the government Parliamentary group headed by the President tomorrow (8th) and several serious decisions regarding the judiciary sector is to be taken.

Meanwhile, President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered the Inspector General of Police to commence investigations to find out persons who attacked the Secretary to the Judiciary Service Commission Manjula Tillekeratne and take legal action against them.

The media had reported that the Secretary to the JSC had informed the judiciary and the IGP that he and other members of the JSC had received death threats after he published a media announcement that a person in the higher position of the government interferes in judiciary matters.

It is manifestly clear that the perpetrator is none other than the head of the judiciary. There is nothing for the IGP to investigate!! CASE CLOSED !
