No discussions & no 6% – SB

The Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayake has again expressed his views regarding the continuous strike launched by university teachers.

Speaking at a special media conference held at the Foundation Institute in Colombo yesterday (3rd) Minister Dissanayake has said the main demand of the FUTA that 6% of GDP should be allocated for education could never be fulfilled and he wouldn’t like to have any talks with university teachers.

UNESCO or anybody cannot give a universal single figure for education expenditure for all countries because the development is at different levels.
The salaries paid to academics are already too high for arts, science, and similar faculties. Problems may exist in engineering and medicine faculties.
Do you know that Japan, a prosperous country the direct government education expenditure is a little over 3%. In Sri Lanka education is funded by many resources. Without doing a proper research (YOU ARE (WRONGLY) ACCALIMED TO BE RESEARCH ORIENETED) you have gone on this demand, and you have wasted 3 months of students’ lives, public money and national wealth. In the education history of SL they will never forgive you for this crime. You are a disgrace to Hon. CWW Kannagara who set up the free education in SL. Your total education was funded by our poor people and now you have taken their AL children to Ransom. Disgrace! Disgrace! Disgrace!!!

If this minister of higher education has been in office for some time, why in the name of reason has the education system of our land in shambles?
The question any sane, intelligent person bears to ask is Minister S.B.really qualified and is educated himself or just and relative of MR who knows nothing about education. Everything is in so much shambles and when education goes down the tube, what do we have as nation? What future do our children have?

This joker and his bloodsucking useless government setting 20% aside for the Defence Budget in order to build up a Dicatorship. But for our children's education they cannot allocate at least 6%. Who still don't understand is anyhow a complete idiot. We all have to go to the road and chase these bastards out.

Whenever Sukara Banda (SB) opens his mouth foul smell emanates to every direction. He is definitely from a sakkili family who always cooks ills of everybody. If the minister of higher education lets down his own officials who are the pillars of higher education to the lowest level I can not even imagine the gravity of disasters that we are going to face in near future.
