Universities should be made money making institutions – SB

The Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayake has spoken regarding the ongoing strike of university teachers.

He has said his view was that the salary of a junior lecturer in the university should be paid a salary of Rs.200,000 and to pay such a salary universities should be made money making institutions.

The Minister has said this at a ceremony held at Lake House to launch ‘Nawasara’, the official organ of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Yes teach the university staff how to earn money by selling drugs, commission, kappan and paga.
