Price of arrack, beer & cigarettes upped

The excise duty for arrack, beet and cigarettes has been increased with immediate effect.

According to market sources a bottle of arrack will go up by Rs.25. The tax for a liter of beer has been increased by Rs.10 while the price of a cigarette has gone up by Rs.2.00.

This has been confirmed by a senior official of the Ministry of Finance.
