Hema’s circuitous route back to the UNP

A few months ago Mr. Hemakumara Nanayakkara aimed a massive criticism against the government and resigned from all the government posts. Speaking to the media he said he was prepared to build a ‘broad force’ against the government.

Meanwhile, he formed a political party named ‘Mawbima’. Later, he said several parties have come forward to build a ‘broad force’. However, he also held discussions with UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Finally, on an invitation from Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe he has joined the gathering called the ‘joint opposition’.

Analysts say despite this gathering being called the ‘joint opposition’, it is none other than the UNP. It has to be called the ‘joint opposition’ as many parties in the gathering have only name boards. Accordingly, Mr. Hemakumara Nanayakkara, after a circular route, has come back to the place he belongs to say analysts.

JVP should join the joint opposition. Because JVP is responsible for bringing Rajapaksa to power. If you can join Mahinda Chandrika and Fonseka why not with Ranil, He is the most decent and clean politician among them.
