Maithri warns new Chairman for North-Central

The Secretary General of the SLFP Minister Maithripala Sirisena has talked to the media regarding the recently appointed Chairman to North – Central Provincial Council.

Mr. Sirisena has said disciplinary action would be taken against the new Chairman who was proposed and seconded by UNP members if he acts contrary to moves of the ruling party.

He has further said according to the 13th amendment members have a right to elect a Chairman by secret vote.
