New amendments to replace preferential system

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has said new amendments would be brought in to the Constitution instead of the preferential system for local government elections in the future.

Addressing the heads of media institutions at Temple Trees today (27th) President Rajapaksa has said the draft bill for amendment to local government elections will be presented to parliament on 10th October. He has said new amendments are brought in as there are numerous issues in the preferential voting system that is being followed at present.

HOW BECOME THAT THIS CONSTITUTION CHANGES NO REQUIRE A PARLIAMENT SELECT COMMITTEE?

DIFFERENT RULES FOR DIFFERENT CATERGORIES OF REQUIREMENT.

13th AMENDMENT IS NOTHING SERIOUS AS FAR AS THIS DICTATORS ARE CONCERNED, HOPE JVP WOULD BE IN POWER SOON TO RESOLVE THE SERIOUS MATTER THAT IS WHAT THE WHOLE WORLD IS EXPECTING
