Free for all at President’s rally

6 persons injured in a brawl that had occurred at the musical show held after the UPFA election rally held with the participation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Bathiyagama grounds at Kanthale  on the 4th were admitted to Kanthale Base Hospital.

They have complained to the police that they were assaulted and attacked with poles.

Meanwhile, another complaint has been lodged at Kanthale Police regarding a clash that had occurred between supporters of UPFA candidate Ariyawathy Galappaththi and supporters of the son of the Deputy Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs who is also a UPFA candidate.

Another clash had occurred between two groups of supporters of UPFA at Bathiyagama grounds on that day.
