Eid-al-Adha also called the Hajj festival, is the second religious holiday in the Islamic calendar and is celebrated today (12th) by Muslims all over the world.
The Hajj festival is commemorated by many Muslims with a pilgrimage to Mecca during the Hajj week. It is said that this is the largest gathering of Muslims in the world every year.
According to reports over 2.4 million devotes have arrived for the Hajj Festival. It is also reported that 2240 Sri Lankans have joined the pilgrimage this year.
