The country exists today, not because of rulers who take decisions but thanks to working masses who pay taxes says the Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP Sunil Handunneththi.
Mr Handunneththi made this observation at a meeting at Meerigama held concurrent with the ‘Ten Thousand Meetings’ programme of the JVP to be held throughout the country under the theme “People’s Administration to Develop & Protect Country”.
He said 88% of the people in the country are indirect tax payers and emphasized that a government is needed to ease the lives of downtrodden masses but that cannot be expected from the current rulers.
රට පවතින්නේ බදුගෙවන වැඩ කරන ජනතාව නිසයි
