Doctors’ strike ends

The strike action carried out by doctors during the last two days has been ended. The decision to stop the strike action was taken after a discussion with President Maithripala Sirisena today (24th) states GMOA.
The GMOA launched a strike action throughout the island protesting against the brutal attack on university students who carried out a peaceful agitation on the 21st to demand the government to abolish SAITM illegal medical degree selling institute at Malabe.
The strike entered its third day today.
