Relatives of murdered popular rugger player Wasim Thajudeen engaged in a silent protest opposite Colombo High Court today (7th) demanding to expedite the investigations being carried out regarding his murder.
The protestors displayed placards demanding that legal action should be taken against the former Judicial Medical Officer.
Despite stating during Rajapaksa regime that Thajudeen was killed in a motor accident, investigations carried out by the CID subsequently revealed that he had been murdered.
Its time all cases over 1 year is handed over to foreign investigation bodies, like Scotland Yard. In Sri Lanka its always the case of one rogue protecting another.
@Kumara, I agree with you. But no foreign investigator or courts can help when evidence and clues are destroyed. If any other system of justice would be punishing and imprisoning those who have obstructed justice and manipulated this case like the JMP, Narahenpita Police and those politicians in the current regime including our President and PM who is covering up the real murders who are in Carlton House while partying at Clique night club and frequenting casino’s.
