The controversial Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. accused of the Central Bank bond scam and owned by Arjun Aloysius, the son-in-law of Arjun Mehendran, former Governor of the Central Bank has bought shares from National Development Bank (NDB).
This is revealed in the list of share holders released by the bank on 31st October. Meanwhile another company called Perpetual Equity too has bought 2.4% of shares from NDB.
Perpetual Treasuries and Perpetual Equity did not appear among the first 20 shareholders mentioned in the list of shareholders released on 30th June for the first quarter. However, both these companies are mentioned in the list released for the next quarter.
