Students in Havana University in Cuba have strongly protested against the statement made by US President elect Donald Trump calling Cuban revolutionary Leader Fidel Castro a dictator. Trump who had earlier said regarding Obama’s decision to open up relations with Cuba “I think it’s fine. We should have made a better deal,” said after Castro’s death that Castro was “a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades,” and blamed the leader loved by Cuban people and right thinking people all the world for “firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty, and the denial of fundamental human rights.”
Julien Allenbo, a student participating in the protest has stated in his blog, “Mr. Trump, You don’t know who Fidel is. Your low-bred words display it.”
Right thinking people all over the world have vehemently opposed the atrocious statement made by Trump.
When many state leaders had stated that Castro made an enormous impact on the people and the world around him Trump, whose election has been opposed by majority of the people in the US (Hillary Clinton polled more votes than Trump though he was able to get a majority in the electoral school. Hillary Clinton’s popular vote lead over Trump’s has surpassed two million votes.) displays his idiocy by calling Castro a dictator.
Cubans feel that the statement made by Trump was not only an insult to Castro but an offence committed on all the Cubans.
