CID waiting for AG’s advice for further action against Namal

The CID informed Colombo Magistrate today (1st) that they were waiting for advice from the Attorney General in connection with the case against Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and five others on Hellocorp case.

The CID apprised the Magistrate that preliminary investigations regarding the case have been already concluded and were waiting for advice from the AG in order to take further action.

CID had earlier informed Court that Namal Rajapaksa, who is said to be the Chairman of Govers Private Limited Company, had bought shares of Helocorp (Pvt.) Ltd.  spending Rs. 125 million but has not been able to say where he got the money from and had pointed out that how he got the money is suspicious.
