Despite moving to the canter of the chamber for their agitation, the Members of the Mahinda faction refrained from participating in the debate and the debate concluded with the speech of the JVP Member. The Speaker announced Mr. Dinesh Gunawardene’s turn to speak but he did not come forward to do so. The government was able to pass the Bill without a debate.
