Addressing a rally to mark the first anniversary of the joint-government formed by the UNP and SLFP held at Matara yesterday (19th) evening President Maithripala Sirisena said he would disclose all secrets that he knew about Mahinda Rajapaksa and his henchmen if they go ahead with forming a new political party.
The President in an aggressive mood said, “Some are trying to form a new party to regain power. I challenge them to do so. We will disclose what we have maintained as secrets and politically wipe out those who form new parties. They will never be allowed to come to power again.”
Meanwhile political analysts say the President has admitted that he is keeping secrets of the Mahinda Rajapaksa government and not disclosing them to the people who voted him for power to eliminate fraud and corruption is an act that protects the fraudsters and the corrupt.
