Former President Kurunegala District MP Mahinda Rajapaksa has been summoned to Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power (PRECIFAC). He has been asked to present himself at PRECIFAC tomorrow (20th) and the day after tomorrow (30th).
He has been summoned regarding investigation into the incident where money due for the advertisements of Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa telecast by ITN during the presidential election had not been paid incurring a loss to the TV channel.
The Commission has also summoned former Chairman of ITN Anura Siriwardene, its General Manager Aruna Moorthy Wijesinghe, the Deputy General Manager (Marketing) J.A. Upali Ranjith, the Asst. Manager (Marketing) Dhillip Priyantha Wickremesinghe and former Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella.
