They met fishermen and members of their families at Podawakattuwa, Kallarawa, Pulmoddai, Kuchchaweli, Salappayaru and Paththanambar in Trincomallee district and had discussions with them.
The fishermen expressed their delight as the members of the All Ceylon Fishermen’s Federation of the JVP were the only politicians who visited them after the elections though many politicians visited the villages during the election.

Director of Fisheries for Trincomallee District and both parties exchanged views regarding action that could be taken to find solutions for fishermen’s issues. The Asst.
