(Second edition) JVP handed nominations of its candidates for Uva Provincial Council from Badulla District today (5th). The General Secretary of the party Tilvin Silva was present with the Leader of the JVP contestants Samantha Vidyaratna, Ramalingam Chandrasekar and other candidates.
The nominations for the Monaragala group were handed over at Monaragala District Secretariat by the group leader D.M. Jayawardene. The Information Secretry of the JVP Vijitha Herath too was present.
The JVP has given an undertaking that it would not have any parades and use public address systems during the nomination period as the GCE A/L examination is being conducted.
