A center would be formed for all patriotic organizations in the country to unite and carry out their activities benefiting the society and supporting all forces to safeguard country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ven. Dhambara Amila Thero said various political parties, mass organizations as well as patriotic forces that represent intellectuals, Buddhist priests, students, doctors and university lecturers have expressed the need for such a centre. The centre that would be launched would serve this purpose said Ven. Dhambara Amila Thero, a Senior lecturer and an eminent archeologist.

The inaugural convention of the 'Patriotic National Centre' would be held under the theme "A free land - A future with unity! will be held at BMICH at 2.00 p.m. on the 10th said Ven. Dhambara Amila Thero
